“Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.”

― John Wesley

Hey there! My name is Rachel, and I am the a co-founder of Pride Pocket.

You might be wondering…what is Pride Pocket? Why would I care?

Well, simply put, Pride Pocket is an LGBTQ+ resource center and compassionate crowdfunding platform built by LGBTQ+ individuals…and for them.

What that means is that we strive to provide as much help as we can to the community we are a part of. Whether it be factual, informational articles that are relevant to the community, recommending LGBTQ+ owned businesses and organizations, we are here to help.

These days there are countless blogs, youtube channels, etc to document personal journeys. Additionally, there are a myriad of LGBTQ+ news sources. This is not what Pride Pocket is.

We are here to help you find the information you need regarding LGBTQ+ scenarios. Additionally, we provide a compassionate crowdfunding platform that allows you to keep 100% of contributions.

Our community faces challenges in so many ways. Sometimes it’s helpful to read someone’s personal blog and ask them what they recommend, what they have done in their situation, and how you can get the answers you need.

Think of Pride Pocket as a resource where you can go to find out the “how can I’s” and “What are my options” of navigating life as an LGBTQ+ individual.

What good is information if you don’t have the means to obtain the help you need?

Finding out the answers to your questions, like “what options do transmen have when it comes to transitioning?” is incredibly important. Having unbiased, factual articles to explain everything from coming out, to transitioning, family planning, and LGBTQ+ related legal issues is important. But it is what you do with that information that truly matters.

If you find yourself with all the answers to your question of “how can two same-sex bio females conceive children?” you also will be provided with financial estimates about what costs are associated with taking action.

Whether you are transitioning, starting a family, fighting for your legal rights, advocating for mental health, etc…it all comes with a large financial burden.

That is when compassionate crowdfunding comes in. So…what is it?

Crowdfunding is widely used to collect funds for a common goal. Popular sites like GoFundMe, Kickstarter, Fundrazr, etc are often used for the same types of campaigns we would expect to use Pride Pocket.

So, why would you use Pride Pocket? Well there are a few important distinctions.

First of all, Pride Pocket is a non-profit. We have set up our model to include ZERO platform fees.

This means that you keep 100% of the contributions donated to your campaign. Pride Pocket does not make a cent. Our entire purpose is to provide LGBTQ+ individuals with information, and a means to take action.
